The effect of our aging body on our relationship with our spouse
The aging process will affect your personal relationship with your spouse if you are able to do anything physical because you are over weight or you lack the energy to enjoy any physical activities. As we age, there are some physical attributes that we have that may not look as good as when we were in our 30's and 40's, so our focus in our golden years have to turn to the inner qualities of our spouse and ourselves. We have to focus on being the best of friends to one another. Our friendship becomes extremely important as we cruise through our golden years because by this time the children have left the nest and it is now just you and your spouse. When you were younger, your physical attractions were usually very strong and pretty much a dominant factor in your relationship and if you had children, the bond between the two of you were even strong. But once you reached your dismantling years and the children are gone, you must refocus your energy to your spouse and do as many things as possible together to rekindle that fire that has lost its luster. At this stage of life, your physical, mental and spiritual health is of the utter importance. You want to be vibrant, caring, and loving to one another in order for you to enjoy your golden years.
The importance of our mental health on our quality of life in our golden years

We do not take anything for granted. We thank the Lord every day for our life, our family and our friends that we have in this world. If we maintain a healthy mental outlook in life, it will increase our chance for happiness in our golden years.
