Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has hit back at Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure, over his claims that the Spaniard has a problem with African players.
Guardiola described his claims as “lies”.
Toure made the sensational accusations, in a recent interview with France Football , after leaving Manchester City last season.
Reacting to his’s accusations, Guardiola told Catalan station TV3: “They were lies and he knows it.
“We were together for two years and he says it now — he never told me to my face.”
The duo had previously worked together at Barcelona but endured an estranged relationship in the twilight of Toure’s career at the Etihad.
